Eels Premiere "New Alphabet" Video and Stream Full New Album

EELS have just premiered the brand new video for "New Alphabet" from the upcoming Wonderful, Glorious EELS album via Rolling Stone. The video is not only a spectacular sequel to the recently released "Peach Blossom" video, picking up where that video left off, but it also serves to give EELS leader Mark Oliver Everett a chance to make a statement about a growing concern.

E on the "New Alphabet" video: "Adult male abuse is a widespread but little acknowledged problem in today's society. Many grown men are victims of children's senseless bullying. I have made the brave choice to speak up as a victim of these pint-sized terrorists. I am so tired of children picking on me. It is my hope that this video will serve as the first step in opening a dialogue between victims and community leaders that will one day lead to the end of this awful abuse." Click HERE to check it out or watch below.

In addition, the entire Wonderful, Glorious album is now streaming on Soundcloud a week before release! Listen to the full album below. Wonderful, Glorious is out Feb. 5 and is now available to pre-order on iTunes. The 2013 EELS world tour begins Feb 14, click HERE for all dates and ticket links.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club recently unveiled their sixth studio album, titled Specter At The Feast, is set for release March 19 on Abstract Dragon / Vagrant Records. The trio will be overseas during the week of release but are pleased to announce their first headline run in the U.S. since 2010, in support of Beat The Devil’s Tattoo. Specter At The Feast has already garnered early praise from Rolling Stone who called it a “superb new album,” while NPR crowned the rock ‘n’ roll pioneers “ones to watch in 2013” and called the album “more direct, more heartfelt and more honestly beautiful.”

The first single “Let The Day Begin” is actually a cover, and a thoughtful homage to beloved Michael Been of The Call, also Robert Been’s father and honorary “fourth member” of BRMC. This song propelled The Call into mass consciousness when it reached #1 in the US on the mainstream Rock charts in 1989 and became their biggest crossover hit, thanks to the big arena-rock hook. The song embodies The Call’s optimistic message and BRMC rip through the roaring track as if it was their own.
