Dive In Announce Debut EP, Eighteen, on Vagrant Records

We are very excited to welcome the UK's Dive In to the Vagrant family! Today the Glastonbury residents launch their 2015 with a fresh cut titled "Eighteen" along with the news that it'll also be the title track of their debut EP out May 26th. Click HERE or below to listen via SoundCloud.

"Eighteen was born from a loop pedal jam in our old residence" explains frontman Guttridge, continuing "it was inspired by another day of watching the village's festival fences go up.  It was the product of excitement and the, what some may call delusional idea that we could one day amount to the successes of the bands/artists that descend upon our village each year."

Motivated by a mutual appreciation of timeless and epic sounding pop from the likes of Genesis and the Police, the band is gearing up to release a first EP they hope will leave a lasting impression. The EP is comprised of five tracks that make for a complete listening experience, anchored together by the title song, which was produced by the band and Andy Green (Keane) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Royal Blood, The Killers). Dive In are Matthew Guttridge, Daniel Hayes & Adam Mason.

Active Child Announces Sophomore LP Mercy, New Song “1999” Premieres Today

Pat Grossi, aka Active Child, is excited to share plans to release his sophomore full-length entitled Mercy.  Serving as a follow up to 2011’s critically acclaimed LP, You Are All I See, and 2013’s Rapor EP, Mercy showcases Grossi’s raw, honest, and incredible vocals like never before.  “On Mercy I wanted to feel new again in my own music. It’s been four years since my last full-length album and I wanted these songs to reflect my growth as an artist over that time. And I wanted my voice to be heard, and not just felt,” says Grossi. Mercy will be released nationwide in June via Vagrant.

Produced and recorded in Brooklyn with Van Rivers (Blonde Redhead, Fever Ray) the ten-track LP is a collection of love songs, each shining a different light on the subject. “This album more than previous releases feels like more of a collaboration between the producer and I. His fingerprints are all over these songs and he really pushed me vocally, more than anyone has before.” Written almost exclusively on the harp and piano, Mercy opens with “1999,” a juxtaposition of playful harmonies and sullen narrations of past love. 1. 1999
2. These Arms
3. Never Far Away
