Frank Iero and the Patience's New EP Keep The Coffins Coming Out Today

FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE released their new EP, Keep The Coffins Coming. The four-track EP was recorded with Frank Iero’s lifelong hero, the iconic Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey), at Electrical Audio in Chicago, IL. Heartfelt and raw, while still maintaining a fiery punk rock identity, Keep The Coffins Coming is a classic Iero album that connects Stomachaches and Parachutes, the band’s debut and sophomore efforts. In light of their accident in Sydney, Australia last year, the guys jokingly call themselves FRANK IERO & ‘THE PATIENTS’ on this release.

Yesterday, FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE teamed up with Alternative Press to premiere “No Fun Club,” a new track from the EP. If you were able to catch the band on tour this summer, you may have seen them perform this one live. Check it out HERE.

Frank Iero and the Patience To Release New EP Keep The Coffins Coming on September 22nd

FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE are gearing up to release their new EP, Keep The Coffins Coming, on September 22nd. Recorded with the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey), Keep The Coffins Coming is complete with four tracks that bridge the gap between Stomachaches and Parachutes, the band’s acclaimed debut and sophomore albums. The EP will be available to stream/purchase at digital retailers on release day.

“When we were done touring Stomachaches, I talked to my manager, Paul, about what we should do. I had my bucket list and one of the things on there was to work with Steve Albini,” says frontman Frank Iero. “Paul asked how long I’d wanted to work with Steve and I was like, ‘Since I was, like, 11!’ I wanted to make a Steve Albini record! Paul said he’d call him and I was like, ‘You can’t do that… that would be weird. Don’t do it.’ And he was like, ‘That’s my job!’ ”

Iero continues, “He called him, Steve said he could do it and he had three days. Next phone call I made was U-Haul; I fuckin’ packed the U-Haul up and drove the band to Chicago. I got to record an EP with my friends and one of my heroes in this, like, giant firehouse building in Chicago. The EP is this missing link between Stomachaches and Parachutes. It’s everything I wanted it to be. It’s fuckin’ awesome!” On the upcoming EP, fans may notice a name change on the cover art. For this release, the band will jokingly refer to themselves as FRANK IERO & ‘THE PATIENTS’ in light of their accident in Sydney, Australia last year.

Since unveiling Parachutes (Oct. 2016), FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE have been touring non-stop, headlining shows across the U.S. and supporting Rise Against, Deftones, and Thrice on their summer dates. After an upcoming European headline stint, the guys will head back to the states in November for their run throughout the Midwest and East Coast. Frank Iero and the Patience's New Album Parachutes Arrives October 28th

FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE are set to release their second album 'Parachutes' on October 28th! The record was produced by the legendary team that is Ross Robinson & Steve Evetts in California earlier this year. "It's a team that had been on my mind for a while. I heard stories about Ross that scared me to death... but honestly nothing could have prepared me for the reality of what it is like to work with him" says singer Frank Iero. "It was the most heartbreaking yet uplifting, depleting yet inspiring experience I have ever had. I found out things about myself and the songs I was writing that changed me forever. I am so proud of this record, it really took everything I had, and I know I could not have made it with anyone else." The album is available for preorder HERE.

As with any new album, the band has a chance to grow and evolve into something else, to challenge all perceptions and become a new version of what it once was, and as such comes a name change - FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE. "When I first started this journey I brought a band along that filled in the gaps of what I lacked. I was uncomfortable in my position so I brought a celebration or a cellabration to distract from my awkwardness. Now in my life I need to learn how to slow down and love where I am. I need the patience to appreciate the now." says Frank Iero.

FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE are excited to take this record to the US fans via an extensive tour, kicking off on October 28th in Sayreville, New Jersey. The US tour runs through November 27th and includes a November 9th stop in Los Angeles at the Troubadour. The full dates are included HERE.

A message from Frank Iero

"Parachutes are life saving devices. We rely on them to bring us back from the brink of death. Whether we fall or jump they are the only things keeping us alive. Such as with life, we are all just falling or plunging to an eventual end, but the love of my family and my ability to create art and music has always been my parachute.

The act of living can be random and strange, beautiful and ugly at the same time and the only thing that is undeniably certain is eventually we are all gonna hit the ground. Some of us plummet at an incredible rate and it’s over in a flash, but some of us get saved and are able to enjoy the view for a little while….

This album is one of my parachutes. xo frnk."

Frank Iero and Evan Nestor will play a very special acoustic show at All Saints Church in Kingston, UK later this week on Saturday 10th September which will be followed by a fan Q&A hosted by Matt Stocks.
